Our Story
For over 30 years, Camelot Balloons has offered hot air balloon rides in Vail, Avon, and Eagle/Gypsum Colorado. Come fly with us and gain a whole new perspective on the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
What to Expect
Arrive
Arrive at the meeting location (Buckhorn Wildlife Park) just after sunrise.
Prepare for Flight
Take in a beautiful sunrise while the crew and pilot prepare and inflate the balloon for the flight.
Take Flight
Your balloon slowing rises into the morning light of a beautiful Rocky Mountain morning. Take in stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks as the balloon ascends several thousand feet into the air.
Landing
The pilot will expertly guide the balloon back to earth after 45-60min in the air.
Celebration
Enjoy light snacks and a champagne toast in celebration of a beautiful morning in the air. The champagne toast dates back to the first balloon flights in France more than 200 years ago.

Yes, hot air ballooning is a weather dependent activity. If weather is unsuitable for a safe flight operation, your flight will be cancelled and you’ll have the option to reschedule. If you are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be provided.

We recommend wearing clothes suitable for outdoor activities.
Dress in layers as it is often cool at sunrise and warm by landing.
Closed-toed shoes are a must while a hat and sunglasses are recommended.

The atmosphere is generally most stable at sunrise, with light winds and cool temps. These are ideal conditions to ensure our flights are conducted in safe and enjoyable weather.

Our launch site is located at Gypsum Wildlife Park at Buckhorn located at the end of Buckhorn Valley Blvd in Gypsum, CO.
At the end of Buckhorn Valley Blvd you will see our Camelot Balloons sign, park at the trailhead parking. We will be looking for you near the yellow canopy!
